Product Recipe
COOKING & PREPARATION:
1. Preheat the Oil:
• Fill a deep-frying pan or pot with enough cooking oil to submerge the Yu tiao. Preheat the oil over medium heat until it reaches around 350°F (175°C). Use a cooking thermometer to check the temperature.
2. Arrange the Frozen Yu Tiao:
• Take the desired number of frozen Yu tiao from the freezer and allow them to thaw slightly at room temperature for a few minutes. Ensure they are not completely thawed, as frying partially frozen Yu tiao results in a crispier texture.
• Once partially thawed, arrange the Yu tiao on a plate, ensuring they do not stick together.
3. Fry the Yu tiao:
• Carefully place a few Yu tiao at a time into the preheated oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry the Yu tiao for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until they turn golden brown and crispy.
• Use tongs or a slotted spoon to flip the Yu tiao and ensure even frying.
4. Drain Excess Oil:
• Once the Yu tiao are golden brown and crispy, use the slotted spoon to remove them from the hot oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels. This will help absorb any excess oil.
5. Serve and Enjoy:
• Serve the warm and freshly fried Yu tiao as a delightful breakfast item or snack. They are best enjoyed immediately, while still crispy and hot.
• Yu tiao can be served on their own or paired with condiments like soy milk, congee, or sweetened condensed milk for dipping.
