COOKING & PREPARATION:
1. Preheat the Steamer:
• If you’re using a steamer, preheat it by adding water and bringing it to a boil.
2. Arrange the Frozen Mantou:
• Take the desired number of frozen Mantou from the freezer and arrange them on a parchment paper-lined steamer basket or tray. Leave some space between each bun to allow them to expand during steaming.
3. Steam the Frozen Mantou:
• Place the steamer basket or tray with the frozen Mantou over the boiling water. Cover the steamer with a lid.
4. Steam the Frozen Mantou:
• Steam the frozen Mantou for approximately 8 to 10 minutes, or until they become fully cooked and heated through.
5. Check for Doneness:
• To check if the frozen Mantou is fully cooked, insert a toothpick or skewer into the center of one bun. If it comes out clean without any uncooked dough, the Mantou is ready.
6. Serve and Enjoy:
• Once the frozen Mantou is steamed and cooked through, carefully remove them from the steamer.
• Serve the warm and freshly steamed Mantou as a delightful side dish or a main meal accompaniment. They pair well with both savoury and sweet dishes.
