COOKING & PREPARATION:

1. Preheat a Pan or Skillet:

• Heat a pan or skillet over medium-high heat. You can add a little cooking oil or butter to the pan to prevent sticking, but this is optional, as the natural fat in the minced beef will also provide some lubrication.

2. Brown the Minced Beef:

• Once the pan is hot, add the minced beef to the pan. Use a spatula or wooden spoon to break up any clumps and spread it out evenly in the pan. Cook the minced beef, stirring occasionally, until it is browned and cooked through. This usually takes around 5-7 minutes.

3. Drain Excess Fat (Optional):

• Depending on the fat content of the minced beef, you may have some excess fat in the pan after cooking. If desired, you can drain the excess fat using a colander or by tilting the pan and carefully spooning out the fat.

4. Season the Minced Beef:

• Season the minced beef with your favourite herbs, spices, and seasonings to suit your recipe. Common seasonings include salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, or Italian seasoning, but feel free to get creative and adjust to your taste preferences.

5. Incorporate into Your Recipe:

• The cooked minced beef is now ready to be incorporated into your chosen recipe. It can be used in various dishes, such as spaghetti Bolognese, chili con carne, tacos, lasagna, stuffed peppers, or shepherd’s pie.

6. Serve and Enjoy:

• Once the minced beef is cooked and incorporated into your recipe, serve it hot and enjoy the delicious flavours and rich taste it adds to your dish.
