COOKING & PREPARATION:
Thawing (if frozen):
Refrigerator Method: Place the frozen Cod Steak/Fillet in the refrigerator overnight or for about 8-12 hours until completely thawed.
Cold Water Method: If you need to thaw it quicker, seal the Cod Steak/Fillet in a plastic bag and submerge it in cold water. Change the water every 30 minutes until thawed.
Cooking:
Pan-Seared Cod Steak/Fillet:
Pat the Cod Steak/Fillet dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
Season with salt, pepper, and any desired herbs or spices.
Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add a small amount of oil or butter.
Place the Cod Steak/Fillet in the pan and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Adjust cooking time based on thickness.
Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
