COOKING & PREPARATION:
Thawing (optional): For best results, you can thaw the slices in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight. If you’re short on time, you can cook them directly from frozen.
Boiling:
Bring a pot of water to a boil.
Add the frozen lotus root slices and boil for about 5-7 minutes until tender.
Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.
Stir-Frying:
Heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add the thawed or frozen lotus root slices directly to the pan.
Stir-fry for about 5-8 minutes, adding your favorite vegetables, sauces, or seasonings.
Soup or Stew:
Add the frozen slices directly to soups or stews. They will cook through in about 10-15 minutes, adding texture and flavor.
Baking or Roasting:
Toss the slices with oil and seasonings, then spread them on a baking sheet.
Roast at 400°F (200°C) for about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.
