COOKING & PREPARATION:
Ingredients:
• Thinly sliced chicken leg
• Assorted fresh vegetables (such as Napa cabbage, carrots, mushrooms, bak choy, and green onions)
• Clear or flavoured broth of your choice (chicken, vegetable, or mushroom broth work well)
• Noodles of your choice (vermicelli, udon, or rice noodles)
• Dipping sauces (soy sauce, ponzu, sesame sauce, or chili sauce)
Instructions:
1. Dip and Cook: Once the broth starts simmering, each person at the table can take their desired ingredients and dip them into the hot broth to cook. The thin slices of chicken leg will cook quickly, so it only takes a few seconds. You can use chopsticks or a small strainer to remove the cooked chicken slices from the broth.
2. Add Vegetables and Noodles: After cooking the chicken, add the assorted vegetables and noodles to the hotpot. Allow them to cook until they reach the desired tenderness.
3. Enjoy with Dipping Sauces: Serve the cooked chicken, vegetables, and noodles with a selection of dipping sauces. Let everyone at the table mix and match their preferred sauces to complement the flavours of the hotpot.
4. Continue Cooking and Enjoying: As the meal progresses, keep adding more ingredients to the hotpot and savour the delightful flavours of the Chicken Leg Sliced Shabu.
5. Finish the Broth: Towards the end of the meal, the broth will be infused with the rich flavours of the ingredients. You can add more seasonings or condiments to adjust the taste of the broth if desired.
6. Savor the Last Sips: As the meal concludes, enjoy the remaining broth as a comforting soup, filled with the essence of the chicken and vegetables.
