Product Recipe
COOKING & PREPARATION:
Ingredients:
• Linguine pasta
• Water
• Salt
• Pasta sauce of your choice (marinara, seafood, aglio e olio, etc.)
• Optional: olive oil, grated Parmesan cheese, fresh herbs, vegetables, seafood, protein (shrimp, scallops, etc.)
Instructions:
1. Boil Water:
• Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a rolling boil. Add salt to the water; a general guideline is about 1-2 tablespoons of salt per gallon of water.
2. Add Linguine Pasta:
• Gently add the linguine pasta to the boiling water. Stir the pasta immediately after adding it to prevent sticking.
3. Cook the Pasta:
• Follow the package instructions for the recommended cooking time. Linguine is often cooked until “al dente,” which means it should be tender but still have a slight firmness when bitten.
4. Test for Doneness:
• About 1-2 minutes before the suggested cooking time is up, start testing the pasta for doneness. Take a strand of linguine and taste it to ensure it’s cooked to your preferred texture. Remember, pasta continues to cook slightly after draining, so it’s better to undercook slightly than overcook.
5. Reserve Pasta Cooking Water (Optional):
• Before draining the pasta, you can reserve a small amount of the pasta cooking water. This starchy water can be added to your sauce later to create a smooth and cohesive pasta dish.
6. Drain the Pasta:
• Once the linguine is cooked to your liking, carefully drain it in a colander placed in the sink.
7. Mix and Serve:
• Add the drained linguine to the pan with the sauce and toppings. Gently toss everything together to ensure even coating.
