COOKING & PREPARATION:
Ingredients:
• Frozen cuttlefish balls
• Water
• Optional: dipping sauce, herbs, spices
Instructions:
1. Boil Water:
• Fill a pot with enough water to fully submerge the frozen cuttlefish balls. Bring the water to a rolling boil.
2. Add Cuttlefish Balls:
• Gently add the frozen cuttlefish balls to the boiling water. Avoid overcrowding the pot, as this can affect the cooking time and evenness.
3. Cook the Cuttlefish Balls:
• Allow the cuttlefish balls to boil for about 3-5 minutes, or until they float to the surface. Cooking times may vary based on the size of the cuttlefish balls and the specific brand you’re using.
4. Test for Doneness:
• To ensure that the cuttlefish balls are cooked to your liking, you can cut one open to check if the center is heated through and the texture is tender.
5. Drain and Serve:
• Once the cuttlefish balls are cooked, carefully remove them from the boiling water using a slotted spoon or strainer. Allow any excess water to drain.
6. Serve:
• Arrange the cooked cuttlefish balls on a serving plate.
7. Optional: Add Flavour:
• If desired, you can serve the cuttlefish balls with a dipping sauce of your choice, such as soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, or a lemon garlic aioli.
8. Garnish and Enjoy:
• Garnish the dish with fresh herbs, such as chopped cilantro or parsley, for added flavour and visual appeal.
9. Serve Immediately:
• Cuttlefish balls are best enjoyed hot and freshly cooked. Serve them as an appetizer, snack, or part of a larger seafood spread.
