COOKING & PREPARATION:
1. Thaw the Smoked Duck (if necessary):
• If the smoked duck slices are frozen together, you will need to thaw them before cooking. The safest method to thaw is to place the sealed package of frozen smoked duck in the refrigerator and let it thaw slowly overnight. Alternatively, you can thaw the smoked duck slices in cold water, changing the water every 30 minutes until fully thawed.
2. Preheat the Cooking Equipment (Optional):
• Unlike raw meats, smoked duck is precooked and only requires heating to your preferred serving temperature. Preheating the oven or other cooking equipment is optional but can help warm the smoked duck slices evenly.
3. Heating the Smoked Duck:
• Oven: Preheat your oven to a low temperature, around 300°F (150°C). Place the smoked duck slices on a baking sheet or in an oven-safe dish. Cover the dish with foil to prevent drying out, and heat for approximately 10-15 minutes or until the smoked duck is warmed through.
• Stovetop: Heat a non-stick skillet or frying pan over medium-low heat. Add the smoked duck slices to the pan and warm them for about 3-5 minutes on each side or until heated through.
