COOKING & PREPARATION:
[Grilled Silver Fern Beef Flank Steak]
Ingredients:
1 flank steak (about 1.5 lbs)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
Optional: fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme) for added flavor
Instructions:
Marinate the Steak: In a bowl, mix the olive oil, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Place the flank steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Let it marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour, or overnight for more flavor.
Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Grill the Steak: Remove the steak from the marinade and let it come to room temperature for about 20 minutes. Grill the steak for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness (medium-rare is about 130°F).
Rest and Slice: Let the steak rest for about 10 minutes after grilling. This helps retain its juices. Slice against the grain into thin strips.
Serve: Enjoy it on its own, or toss it in salads, tacos, or wraps.
