Cheddar Cheese Muffins

Savoury muffins is a great snack alternative.

The ideal breakfast or tea break snack.


1 cup Cowhead milk
3 tablespoon Cowhead butter, melted
1 egg
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar 
3/4 cup Cowhead grated cheddar or Extra Tasty, grated or Extra Old, grated 


1. Preheat over to 180 degrees C.

2. In a large bowl, combine milk, butter and egg.

3. In another bowl, sift flour, baking powder and sugar

4. Stir in the cheese.

5. Add the flour mixture to milk mixture and stir batter until combined. (Batter should be lumpy)

6. Spoon batter into lined muffins tins, filling about 2/3 full. Makes 12 muffins.

7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until when insert a skewer in the center of the muffin and skewer comes out clean. 


Tips: Butter the muffin tin if no muffin paper available.
